The New York Jets, according to the Gang Green folks, are reportedly planning to tender Braylon Edwards in March, when he becomes a restricted free agent. If another team signs him, they have to surrender their 1st and 3rd round pick in the draft to the Jets. Edwards was due to become an unrestricted free agent this year, but the assumed coming "uncapped" season raises the years of service required for UFA eligibility from four to six. Braylon Edwards is reportedly excited and has said he would like to finish his career with the Jets.
I'll go out on a limb here, Joe Namath style, and guarantee no other team even thinks about signing him. He is flat out the most under achieving player in the league.

Braylon Edwards Court Case
There's speculation that Braylon Edwards will serve at least a one-game suspension next year for pleading "no contest" in his aggravated disorderly conduct case. The case stems from an Oct. 5, 2009 incident outside a nightclub in Cleveland during which he allegedly punched LeBron James' "Steve Urkel"-like friend. He received a $1000 fine and a 180-day suspended sentence.
I bet Jets' fans wish the suspension started this week.

Playoff Prediction
New York Jets at San Diego (-7 1/2) 42
The Jets defense has been awesome lately, and their offense has done enough to win. Not this week though. The Chargers' offensive weapons prove to be too much for the Jets. Give the points and take the under.
